The only reason our church has walls is to hold the roof up.
Imagine they are not there and come in to be loved.
Come in and be a part of a changing church

Hey guys! Are you in a situation where you don't know what to do?................

just pray about it !

Compassion is language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.

MARK TWAIN

  End of an era

On 31st March in hospital, sadly one of our dearest Christian brothers, friend and mentor, John Rushton passed away after a short illness.
Builder John was a stalwart within the church being involved in its maintenance and upkeep for many years.

Many people will also remember John as being
Salford's most admired "Dame" which he played
in the church pantomimes for nearly thirty years. He made us all seriously ache with laughter.

A truly wonderful, caring, loving irreplaceable guy who will be greatly missed.

But...John is only ahead of all of us in the queue to meet our Heavenly Father, and
to catch up with his daughter, Donna who left us the year before last.  We will all catch up with him in times to come., and when we do meet up, we'll probably find that the Good Lord has him replacing the pearly gates!

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Jean, daughter Hazel, his family, his workmates and friends, of which there are many.

God bless you John for making us so very, very happy. It's a privilege to know you.

The celebration of John's life will be today,  Friday 21st April at mid day in church and afterwards at Agecroft Cemetery at 1pm.  A buffet lunch will be served in the hall from approximately 1.30pm.  It is anticipated that many people will attend  and early arrival is recommended to secure a seat.  Familiy flowers only please. Any donations please to either Cancer Research or HMCC toward the continuation of John's refurbishment program. Thank you.
